February Fun

Cool Runnings

This movie night was a MUST when we learned there will be a Jamaican bobsled team at the Olympics again this year! Loved the laughs.

Scootering Fun

Makin has been working quite a bit to try and fix his original scooter (many, many tries) and had success with a new battery. Kody enjoyed scootering with Makin after P.E. ...until the new battery died sooner than expected...so they got to call for a ride. ;)

(The pic is showing that they got all the way to Scooter's coffee through the trails and then a parking lot.)

Girls Movie Date

Lorelei and I took in our first (I think) romantic comedy in the theater, Solo Mio!

Olympics

We enjoyed watching various winter Olympics competitions.

Fun Cooking

Lorelei handles making her own versions of my meals often. This particular day she made her own version of chicken soup with rice...minus the chicken of course!

Popstroke

We are still enjoying this most weeks. As you can see, they enjoy corn hole and ping pong as much as they do putting!

Game Time

We are hoping to fit in monthly game time with friends.

Valentine's Day

(I couldn't resist these balloons at Hobby Lobby and we actually hung them up for Game Time, which was the day before.)

Because Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday, it seemed like a good day to make sure to enjoy some family time and not work on a to do list! We let ourselves have a leisurely morning (which included bacon for breakfast, definitely exciting for the boys) before heading out to eat for lunch. We found a rare restaurant that allowed dogs inside! Then we headed to The Classy Cactus to enjoy a little treasure hunting. (Dogs also allowed inside.) When we got home we fit in some game time (Swoops) before our home-made Red Lobster meal and chocolate covered strawberries. (Yes, we ate way too much!)

When you don't usually take your dog out on a rainy day so you don't even think about a towel!

This was also Watson's "Gotcha Day" (We got him one year ago.)  so that is why we worked extra hard to make sure he was included with our outings! I decided to put together a video and surprise Lorelei with it that afternoon.

February Date

While at a birthday party, I tried out ax throwing (when it was offered to try for free!) and enjoyed it more than I expected. Brad and I decided to go as a date and it was a lot of fun! So glad to try something I thought I would never want to try!

ManeGait Volunteering

Lorelei hasn't been able to volunteer in her usual capacity due to her elbow healing, but she was thrilled to help out at a volunteer expo. (Pic is in the car after. :) ) She LOVES talking to everyone and everyone about their amazing program.

Prom Dress Shopping

They have a program at a local church that provides prom dresses and accessories to girls free of charge! We signed up for our timeslot (Sarah Rose and her mom signed up for the same time too!) and were excited about the possibility of finding a dress. We cut it down to the wire (each person gets 1.5 hours before the next batch of girls enters) and on the fourth round of dresses finally found one she loves! We didn't have enough time to get shoes etc. (Sarah Rose did!) but did get a couple of pieces of jewelry! What a blessing!

Adventure Club at the Aquarium

We decided on the aquarium for February Adventure Club. Everyone enjoyed feeling like we were outside even though we were inside! There were also several baby animals due to the time of year, so that was a fun bonus as well. So thankful for this group!

Manatee (who we call Barbara of course)

Re-creating a pic from the last time we were at the aquarium.
(Lorelei's birthday, Sept of 2022, but pic is on "Makin At Twelve" post.)

Little Blue Penguins are always a favorite.

Girls Movie Night

We decided to take a night to watch this favorite from my high school days. Lorelei enjoyed it too!

Watson

Of course...have some cute Watson pics to add.
