This guy likes to make his own warriors and make them battle.
We enjoyed some s'mores one evening.
This guy loves this aspect of being home for school... Breakfast on the couch with the fireplace going while he reads.
We were thankful for a chance to watch Potter Football as they competed at State this year.
We were so sad to learn that Winter the dolphin passed away. As you can imagine this was hard for Lorelei. We were thankful she could process over zoom with Jaedynn as well as watch an online memorial service.
Brad and I have enjoyed a laugh from many Friends episodes over the last 15 years or so. Brittany and Big Charlie love Friends as well, so we have bonded over quoting Friends to each other over the years. You can imagine how excited we were to find out the Friends Experience was coming to Dallas. Brittany decided she wanted to take me for a birthday gift so we had a double date night! So much fun!
Field Trip to Homestead Heritage
We headed to Waco for our next field trip the day after Thanksgiving! It was cold and rainy but we had a great time!
If there is a horse nearby you can guess why we are here... Can you spy Lorelei? |
Forged Kitchen Knife demonstration (A Makin favorite) |
Make-your-own pottery |
Using a loom to make a coaster |
Brass spoon |
Checking out the gristmill as it is running. You can read more below, but one fun fact is they moved this gristmill to Texas from New Jersey! |
We stayed the night and enjoyed a fire and some games. |
Birthday Celebration
This year I was sung to with candles over breakfast, headed to the lake in the afternoon, and enjoyed supper out at La Madelene.
