Easter

For Easter this year, we watched Easter Parade the evening before Easter, the kids enjoyed their baskets of goodies before we headed to church (where Lorelei and I served in the nursery) and then grabbed some food from a restaurant rather than cooking.

But I couldn't resist making carrot cake cookies again this year!

Then friends came over with their own desserts and we played games.

Then we played a few more games in the backyard after they left because it was a beautiful day.

Bluebonnets

We headed to Ennis to see the beautiful bluebonnets blooming and decided to combine it with some fun nearby like we did last year in order to make it a family fun day. We did try to fit in some work and school work that morning, but next year I hope we can make it a full day again. The boys fit in some golf while we girls did a coffee shop and some antique shopping. Then we headed to Ennis and made sure to visit the Belgian horses along the way.
