New Playground for Playgroup

We were excited to get out and enjoy a new playground for playgroup on Wednesday. This is actually a park where we have gone many times before and really enjoyed it, but the equipment was well... ancient really. :) As usual Lorelei was thrilled to be going to a park and we actually were only 5 minutes late! :)

First fun activity...the big kid swings! I was telling Lorelei how to swing on her stomach and then Chase came over and was more than happy to show the two girls how it should be done, including how to twist up the swing and then spin back down. :) It was a huge hit as you can imagine.

Lorelei and Kira on the see saw...really the first real one Lorelei has ever used yet she seems to be very interested in see saws, so it was great for her to actually see one! Thankfully they make them better than they did in my see saw days... :)














And Lorelei is very into piles of leaves lately. "Piyee" is really the Lorelei word for it. :) She has no problem playing with them in the parking lot rather than the grass and had a fun time. :) I'm working on finding her a little kid rake so we can scrounge up our own pile at the apartment...preferably on the grass. :)

Makin slept the first hour in the stroller, then ate, then stayed awake in the Bjorn while I continued to attempt to follow Lorelei, who really cared less and only wanted to play with her new grown-up friend Bo. :) I was thrilled that he was willing to stay in the carrier...will make for much better park trips if he doesn't mind it! :)
