We were excited that they were showing our 2018 Grinch on the big screen this year!
We enjoyed an evening of Christmas games and even talked Brad into charades!
We enjoyed the lights put to music on the square.
We looked through my Pinterest saves and the kids chose these snowflakes!
We enjoyed driving around the neighborhood to check out lights and even accidentally caught some of the drone show at the lake, which was spectacular!
I was going for a gingerbread theme this year. The kids appreciated the cuteness but not the new recipes. :)
Movies
I learned a couple of years ago that the kids really love the extra movie nights throughout December. There are so many great Christmas movies! This year we watched Home Alone 1 and 2, The Santa Clause 1, 2, and 3 as well as The Santa Clause TV show that came out on Disney Plus this year, The Grinch (2018), and The Star.
We read from Jotham's Journey again this year as we celebrated Advent.
Sadly, we only fit in one Christmas read-aloud this December...but that's how it goes sometimes! We enjoyed re-reading The Vanderbeekers!
