July 4th

Patriotic Sunday Best
(July 3rd)

It was a relatively low-key 4th this year in the panhandle as the area had a burn ban which meant no fireworks! We enjoyed the day visiting with Uncle A.J. (who also played various activities with the kids) as well as the evening with the Knops (Long time friends of my parents...). As always, we had yummy festive food!

Happy 4th!

Summer Fun - Weekend at Aunt Heather's, Lorelei's Oklahoma Visit, Makin Mix, Oklahoma Visit

Weekend at Aunt Heather's

We headed to Heather's place for the weekend for some fun as well as a chance to meet Nana so that Lorelei could have her summer visit. We enjoyed getting to catch up over some yummy food, playing games, and a visit to the zoo.

Lorelei's Oklahoma Visit

Lorelei was excited for a longer visit this summer (2 whole weeks!) and sure seemed to enjoy all the 1-1 time and "just being around the farm" as she likes to say. I loved getting picture updates of their fun!

Makin Mix

Meanwhile Makin enjoyed his own 1-1 here at home. We stuck to the same type of schedule of activities we usually have going on in the summer.

Oklahoma Visit

Makin and I headed to the panhandle over the weekend. (Brad ended up not feeling well so we decided it was best for him to stay home.) Makin had fun digging into Uncle A.J.'s old Legos. The kids captured some grasshoppers and enjoyed the city pool.
