Halloween

This Halloween we based our theme on the pup. Watson just had to be an Ewok because he already looks like one. So how could we not?

Trunk Or Treat

Our church had a Trunk or Treat again this year. Attempting to take the Star Wars theme to the Trunk or Treat, Brad worked on constructing an ATAT (All Terrain Armored Transport) that was supposed to sit on the top of the car with the trunk open...did you catch the "supposed to" wording there? The day ended up being crazy windy, so much to our dismay, after all the time creating it...the ATAT just had to sit inside the trunk. (Thankfully we at least got to put it in the yard for Halloween!) Watson was a hit, and we were all frozen by the time the event was over. Loved getting to see our favorite young friends who stopped by for a bit to take in the Trunk or Treat.

Pumpkin Carving

We had an overly eventful week (eh hem, Brad and Lorelei had to spend one evening at the urgent vet) so we ended up carving pumpkins Halloween morning! We went with the Star Wars theme.

Popstroke

We fit in Popstroke for Makin with a couple of friends later that morning. They got free ice cream if they were in costume, and thankfully a friend suggested going with Hogwarts cloaks to make it simple and easy.

Halloween

The kids spent the afternoon getting the yard set up and then enjoyed handing out candy. Makin went trick or treating with Kody for part of the evening. Brad and I enjoyed visiting with friends (also enjoying seeing the trick or treaters as much as we could from just inside the door) while the kids handed out candy.

October Bits and Pieces

Wayback Barn Hoedown

Lorelei was excited to head to a homeschool dance with friends.

Mom I'm starving!
(After the dance of course!)

Meeting Reese

Aunt Heather came for a quick overnight to pick up her new puppy in Texas. The kids enjoyed a bit of time with the new "cousin" before Heather and Reese headed back to Oklahoma.

Character Day

Lorelei dressed as Anne from Anne of Green Gables for character day at HOPE Prep.

Anne Of Green Gables Watch Party

I decided it would be great to watch the movie Anne of Green Gables in October. We invited friends over and they even brought amazing themed snacks to share! So much fun.

First time making raspberry cordial and it was YUM.

Babysitting

Lorelei finally got a selfie while "kid-sitting". So thankful she loves this gig.

Popstroke

We decided to sign up for a Popstroke membership for a few months so that Makin get fit in some outdoor/putting friend time!

Garage Sale

We had our community garage sale and this is how he checked out the other sales nearby.

Puppy Time

I know you guys...too many, but somehow its just what happens!

Grooming day is quite a process.

Thrilled with the Halloween toys she bought for Watson.

Why yes I play Monopoly. Don't you?

Nana Visit

Nana flew out of Dallas to Florida to visit her brothers, so she decided to hang out with us for a day before heading back to Oklahoma!

We managed to fit in two firepit nights!

REAL FOOD!!!

What were Makin's choices for his real-food day?! Donuts and pizza of course!

Adventure Club - The Arboretum

We waited to have Adventure Club when we could eat real food, so it was out very first day back to regular foods and what a fun way to spend the day. We enjoyed seeing the amazing varieties of pumpkins (WOW), enjoyed a pumpkin themed scavenger hunt (the boys team made sure to get many creative selfies because that got them extra points!), and then enjoyed the beauty in the rest of the arboretum. The rain held off for us all day, which was such a blessing!

Cap. Which is a current slang word meaning untruth.

Pics to tell a story.

So much fall beauty.

The girl's lunch spot.

October Date...In the car. I know, but I wanted to wait until I could have real food which meant we had Chipotle on a cold, windy day, so we had a view of the lake from the car. It worked.
