July 4th

July 3rd

On-the-farm fireworks as we knew there was rain in the forecast for the evening of the 4th. Brad was very excited for the kids to get to experience this holiday here as he loved celebrating this way growing up. They thoroughly enjoyed it!

July 4th

The the boys golfed in a local golf tournament and we enjoyed a relaxing day!

This kid loved all the noise-makers and all things fireworks!

I also snuck in a photo shoot. :)
July 4th + mural = yes please!

Happy Fourth!

Nebraska Visit

We enjoyed our visit to the Sr Stahls again this summer. We fit in a reunion during our visit, which was a great chance to see more extended family as well.

Brad and I had many golf-related conversations during the drive up!

We stopped at an extra-special hotel for some evening fun!

Gotta get our Runza!

Runza History!

We studied the Pony Express history this year so I was excited
to sneak in a little field trip to a Pony Express station on our drive.

When we arrived we enjoyed some RC Car driving and corn hole playing!

Grandpa making a ramp for the RC Car.
Makin drove the car most days of our visit and loved it.

The boys out to eat after a round of golf.

We kicked off reunion day with a patriotic selfie-scavenger hunt where we had to go to various places around town and take pictures. Then we enjoyed visiting with family throughout the day and the kids played with cousins. :)

Reunion Day 2 included golf for Brad and a trip to the lake for the kids and me.

We enjoyed a few more days around the farm and in town. The weather was gorgeous and Brad golfed every day except one because it rained. :) We also celebrated July 4th, which will be its own post! :)

This gator was driven by Karter many years ago...it has seen so many years of fun!
It didn't have much energy so Lorelei was mostly pushing them. :)

Thanks for a great visit Grandma and Grandpa!

Summer Fun: Celebrating 18 Years, Camp Crunchlabs Challenges, ManeGait, Lego Day By Lorelei, Level Up Golf, Father's Day, Surprise Date, Pool Time

Celebrating 18 Years

We enjoyed celebrating 18 years married this June! After church Brad and I enjoyed a lunch date out, then stopped to grab some cake to celebrate when we got home. We looked at wedding photos with the kiddos and then kept our Sunday pizza and movie tradition.

Camp Crunchlabs

Makin is enjoying some weekly challenges from Mark Rober this summer. He was very excited to put together a slo-mo video.

ManeGait

Lorelei continued volunteering and enjoyed her first session as horse leader. She has loved being a side walker during the previous sessions but this does get her more horse time! They will take break for summer for July and most of August...which seems necessary due to the heat!

Lego Day

Lorelei has come up with many ways to earn money this summer...and many of them have not been able to work out due to lack of interest...but one friend was ready to sign her kiddos up...so Lorelei put on a Lego Day for two kiddos! She is hoping to get more interest in the future and have around six children participate. She had lots of fun putting the day together and the kiddos seemed to enjoy their day!

This guy was outside in the front to greet them.

Level Up Golf

This has become a great way for the boys to get consistent golf in during the summer heat! They have been loving it!

Father's Day

We celebrated Brad with some of his favorite foods and watching The U.S. Open most of the afternoon. :)

Surprise Date

Brad took Lorelei to The Stockyards to take in an indoor rodeo! She has requested more surprises so the date was a surprise and great way to grant her that wish. :) Hoping it can happen more often! They had so much fun!

Pool Time

It wouldn't be summer for us without pool time! :)
