This year we spent a few hours at the Armstrongs pool and enjoyed eating a delicious lunch and catching up on life while the kids swam.
We were so thankful Aldi had dye-free red white and blue pops!
We enjoyed sitting in the sand to watch the fireworks over the lake.
This will be our last year in the sand. We had a disheartening experience at the lake this year, not even being able to enjoy the fireworks show because of people swearing and yelling/arguing through the entire thing, likely mostly due to too much alcohol and who-knows-what-else. We are hoping to find a more family-friendly spot in the future.
