October Adventures

Girls Night and Afternoon
A friend organized a ladies' night out where we drove out of the city and enjoyed a glass of wine and some 80s music from a live band. I always love a good sunset!

I also had an afternoon adventure to celebrate Autumn's birthday...this is why its good to have friends who think differently than you! We went to Go Ape and had a good time climbing trees. :) Unfortunately, I took my phone and didn't realize the battery was low so don't have very many pictures! But, adding a couple of friends so you can see what it was like. Basically, there are 5 stations and you climbed a tree on a ladder (we are "always attached") and then went across several "bridges" and then ziplined down at each station.

Lake Time
We haven't made it to the lake nearly enough lately and have loved getting our sand and water time this month!

Family Breakfast!

Gorgeous Weather
We have been absolutely loving the weather lately and getting in extra backyard time. Lots of catch...this mom is working on her football throwing ability. :)

Pumpkin Palooza
We were here for Lor's Polynesian performance and were pleasantly surprised all the rides were free! The kiddos were so excited. We topped off the fun with a camel apple treat!

GCA Ninja Run
I had to laugh as I noticed I do not have a single running picture from this event!?! It was cold and rainy. To top it off Makin freaked out about the amount of water and mud he was going to have to run through and decided not to run! Lorelei and I ran but we didn't get a picture! BUT we do have pictures of the bake sale Lorelei and her classmates organized. They had to get special permission from the principal and even wrote out a proposal to present to her. They had this bake sale at the event and half the proceeds went to the school and half went to CMA. Proud of our girl.

Sophia and Lorelei working on the poster.

She only wants to help me bake for bake sales, but I'll take it!

Some sweet classmates!
Savannah, Maddy, Reagan, Lorelei and Jaedynn. (Missing Nayeli in the pic.)

Museum Visit
Our membership is almost up so had to fit in another visit to the museum!

"Trip" to see how they dig into the earth.
The kids compared it to magic school bus.

The kids raced a cheetah. Makin also raced a football player and T Rex.

Harry Potter
After Lorelei was gifted the first Harry Potter book for her birthday from Aunt Heather, the kids have absolutely fallen in love with this series. Makin read it shortly after Lorelei finished and I love how much they have bonded over their excitement over it. They have been patiently waiting to find the second book at the library and were thrilled there were two copies so they can read it at the same time.
