The State Fair

We decided to knock out a bucket list day for Brad that I have been putting off for years...a trip to the Texas State Fair! The year-of-flexibility seemed like a good time to finally make it happen. It was an awesome day as a family! On the drive home we tried to choose favorites from the day and the list was long! I should also say we all agreed that it was an amazing day, but not something we feel we need to see again! (Cost and crowds are not really our thing!) So, here is a glimpse of the highlights of our day!

Big Tex Welcomes People to the Fair

What day at the fair is complete without a funnel cake!?

Wood carving show!

Majesty of the Horse Show - sitting so close we got hit with dirt as the horses sped by!

Meanwhile, the boys went to Stunt Jam and loved it!
We also saw the World of Birds show as well as the Dog Show. (no pics)

The Birthing Barn...so much cuteness!

Getting to see 2-day-old and 1-day-old baby goat triples and quadruplets!
They were adorable.

Biggest. Pig. Ever.

Yep, they were the best corn dogs ever.

Butter Sculptures.

Turns out the 212 ft tall Ferris wheel is pretty high up! ;)
It is one of the tallest Ferris Wheels in North America!
Brad totally didn't regret spending the tickets for us to ride...

Lorelei enjoyed it a bit more eventually.

Glider Ride - they absolutely loved it.

Well if we don't want to ride the classic carousel at least get a pic in front of it.

First time riding a gravitron ride.
Absolutely loved it.

Waiting for the Illumination Sensation to begin.

Absolutely loved it.

I'm hoping to make more videos, so we decided to kick off that goal with this day. Enjoy!
