Wisconsin Visit

We enjoyed a visit to Wisconsin this year which gave us a chance to see extended family from my Mom's side. It had been many years since a visit and it was so nice to get together.

Friday Fish Fry - a long-standing Wisconsin tradition!
(not just for our family...the entire state! :) )

Little moments become special memories...Wisconsin memories are some of the Bohlmann kid's favorites...and one of those is having fresh donuts waiting for us every. single. morning. This was one of Grandpa Heinz's acts-of-kindness bestowed on us. The boys made a donut run in his memory.

Cheers "To Grandpa Heinz"

Golden Owl coffee shop...Makin is discovering he can get bacon almost anywhere...

The kids enjoyed pool time/game time while the "womenfolk" ran to the store in preparation for the picnic and our stay.

Putt Putt!
(M fishing out his golf ball...)

We had to speed up our game...this was one tactic. ;)

Legacy Picnic Time! :)

Makin enjoyed checking out Conrad's car collection.

A short-lived game of corn hole, but still fun!

Makin and Everette played lots of gaga ball.

The Legacy Picnic Crew!

"Are we getting cheese curds while we are there? Isn't that like, their thing?"

They match!

Heather and Makin made a morning coffee run.
I think Brad appreciated that my sister needs her coffee as much as he does.

Sunday brunch where we traditionally enjoyed it with our grandparents.

You know I have to sneak in some history right?

Picturesque view from the historic bridge to a...less-historic-but-still-beautiful bridge. ;)

You also aren't surprised I fit in a photo shoot right? ;)

Checking out some gems at a historical museum.

An old mill.

I just love crocks...
These are leading up to the art museum we enjoyed visiting.

A store solely for Christmas ornaments? Yes please!

The golf-every-state goal has officially begun!
These two enjoyed the challenging-but-beautiful Wisconsin course The Bog.

Zoo Day!
(We went each summer growing up so this zoo has a special place in our hearts.)

Observing the vets working with a bat.
This also included getting to see x-rays on a screen.

Baby Camel!
This was a first for us and was a highlight of the day.

The little red train at the end of the day was also a zoo tradition!

Kopps Custard for the win!

We decided to sneak in a stop to Lake Michigan so that the kids could see a Great Lake! It was much bigger than they imagined from seeing them on the map. :)

We had absolutely gorgeous and amazing weather while we were there and I loved the chance to see family as well as show my family a bit more of what we love about Wisconsin. :) So thankful!
