Christmas Fun Highlights Week #1

We started our Christmas activities count down December 1st. This week we enjoyed getting to read our Christmas books under the tree. This year we added having warm milk and honey too.

An extra special treat was a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Sydney was celebrating her 5th birthday there this year, so we were excited to join her on her special day.

We spent the entire day swimming and sliding, with a break for lunch. :) The wave pool was definitely a favorite, but they loved their share of slides too. It was great that we had an equal parent/child ratio so each child could pretty much go wherever they wanted.

We celebrated with cake and ice cream after swimming. John took the kids around for a few magic quests, and Amanda and I got to catch up a bit too. 

Thanks for having us Rogers family!!! We loved celebrating Miss Sydney with you! :)

Saturday we had a blast celebrating Morgan's birthday with a gymnastics party.
(Yes, 'tis the birthday season it seems!!!)

Saturday night was Little Elm's Christmas at the Beach. We got to see a lighted parade and Santaland, including a visit with Santa.

Waiting for the parade to start...definitely a small town parade, but they still enjoyed it. :)

Fire works for the tree lighting, hot chocolate and little houses that were fun to look at with Christmas scenes.

Both kids asked for a specific toy and then added "and a few surprises" just like Brother Bear
from the Berenstain Bears book.
