A Few Things We've Been Up To

Using a dropper to color coffee filter leaves. Was amazed at how much they loved this!

The kids doing their own laundry. Wanted to do this before it got too cool. Such a thrill for them. Plus, putting the clothespins on the line is supposed to be good for those fine motor skills! Makin thought the blanket needed A LOT of clothespins...I actually think he just thought he was supposed to use ALL the clothespins. And added bonus of them busy counting the clothespins! Will definitely do again in warm weather!

The best smelling play dough ever.

We have also had birthday parties the last couple of weekends. And boy did the weather do a number on those poor mommies! Our new friend Macie, from school, had her Rapunzel party, which included a bounce house. Lorelei braved it (Makin looked at me like, no way!) but didn't last long as it was raining, which made for a very slippery bounce house! And added info, Macie is not actually IN Lorelei's class. Her older brother is in the class above Lorelei, so we moms met waiting in line to go in...and in the produce section of Walmart...and in the check out at Walmart...we took the hint and have had a few play dates! :)

The following weekend was Kaitlyn and Hailey's Halloween birthday party. They had to move theirs to a different day and into the house because of the cold weather. All the kids still had a ton of fun. Makin was thrilled that the cakes were green. Lorelei was thrilled she got to try her first cotton candy ever from the goodie bag. They also loved the sticky spider game and I was in love with the idea of wrapping up the juice boxes with duct tape!!! So many fun ideas. :) Lor and Kaitlyn were such good buds at the party and even playing kitties in between activities. :)
