The Star In The Purple Pajamas

Had some fun taping Lorelei Sunday morning and she was eating it up. She is now grabbing the camera to watch herself before she will even let us get anything video taped, so Brad's great idea was to turn our handy little viewing screen out so that she could watch herself. This may have to be a regular practice because she can't get enough of it. :)

This was our attempt to get her to do the actions for Twinkle Twinkle. As you can see she has the "star" part and then makes her version of a diamond in the sky, although not at the right part of the song. This is her favorite song to do and is often used when attempting a diaper change and in the grocery store. :) As you can see we couldn't get her to do it for the whole song because she too distracted at being able to watch herself on the camera. :) We thought it was pretty fun.

This is what I ended up teaching her to do when "thinking" although it is usually more tapping on the mouth than the nose, but you get the idea. She does this anytime we ask her something such as "What should we wear today?" and that kind of thing.

Well this one is pretty long so it won't offend me if you get bored, but decided to post it anyway. :) She was just having fun reading some books to the camera and we did manage to get one more cute habit, which is her blowing out the candles on the book. This is the only place I can figure she learned this, but apparently she will do great at her next birthday! She even tries to blow out the candles at the front of the church from our seats in the back. :)

We are both finding ourselves exhausted with this wonderful almost-18-months daughter of ours. We will definitely have our hands full with the terrible twos, so I guess this is good practice leading up to it. :) One of the things Lorelei tends to throw fits about these days is when there is a game we are playing with her and she does not ever want it to end. This happened yesterday when Brad was lifting her up and down like weights. Then as she was throwing a tantrum he cracked me up by saying "You know what we should do? Rent her out to parents of teenagers to teach them not to have sex! Watching her for a day would be great birth control...she's exhausting!" :) I totally agree but since Baby #2 is on the way I guess she isn't that bad!
