Much to my dismay I did not end up taking a picture today...so we will have a boring picture-less post. Makin was looking very cute to visit his doctors though. :)
Pediatrician Appointment 8:30 AM - Got his height and weight (again 10 lb 12 oz and 23 in long) and then got checked out by Dr. Wick after I asked my long list of questions. Turns out he has Bronchiolitis from the cold he caught, but nothing much we do about that, just that he will probably have it for 2-3 more weeks so that is affecting his breathing...poor guy! He also got two immunizations but only one shot so that was not too bad. Lorelei was a good big sister and had no problem giving Dr. Wick the play by play of what she was supposed to check on Makin. "har bee (heartbeat), ears, mow (mouth)" and thankfully Dr. Wick had no problem going along. :)
CHKD Meeing with Surgeons at 11:30 AM - Lorelei kept herself and another 2 year old patient entertained with the Ipad in the waiting room for a loooong wait. Dr. M and Dr. B both took a good look at Makin's palate and said it looks good. No holes so far showing up and as long as we don't notice any problems they don't need to see us again for another 5 months! We were also instructed to use Vitamin E and massage the scars 4 times a day and that up until the 6 week mark is when they will look their worst and they will just get better after that, looking much better if not all the way gone by 6 months. This will also loosen up the tightness in the cheek etc.
So glad we are done with appointments for a bit at least and I'm sure M and L are very glad too after that long day! :)
Yay for Dr day to be over, for a great report from your favorite surgeons and BOO for the bronchitis :(
