#8 - Santa Here We Come

Prepping for our visit by reading all the books we have with Santa in them. :) He is very familiar to her in books and as you can see in the video she knows who he is...but as my sister put it "totally different when he's bigger than you and not flat on a page." :) We will come to find out this is very true. :)

Chumming it up with Rudolf before the big event. This is a reindeer made for me when I was 4 from my Grandma Ester. She enjoys looking at him and, surprisingly, leaves him alone for the most part.
The dress was especially picked out for her by Lorelei's Grandma and cousin Hannah.

Breaking her in slowly to the idea of visiting the big guy. He even waved to her up there. Also wanted you to see the awesome set up they have with the snow globe.

They have a special set up at this mall with the Polar Express theme and snow globes. First you can push a button on a smaller globe and the conductor says "All Aboard!" (As you can see Brad was able to take a lunch and join us since the mall is right next to work.) The next room is like the inside of the train engine where you can pull a whistle and a lever that makes some other cool noise. Then is the falling snow in the snow globe which is also very cool. She had no problem just walking through and checking this all out on her own, as you can see.

Checking out Santa close up while he visits with another little boy. And this picture is as good as it gets folks! She actually did a great job going up and seeing Santa, and even gave him a little high five, but then when I suggested a picture and tried to put her next to him she lost it and no picture could be taken! I think if I had just let her stand next to him she might have been okay, but once she thought I was going to set her down and walk off she was clinging to me like crazy. :) Oh well! It was still a fun outing and we'll try again next year. :) Thanks anyway Santa!
