Quick Week Recap

Well we have had quite a week so thought I better sum it all up quickly tonight before the new week starts tomorrow (I know technically the new week starts today but in my mind its Monday!)
Monday - Wonderful birthday with a very lazy morning which included our traditional Micky Mouse pancakes because Brad took the morning off and then a nice easy afternoon
Tuesday - Trip to Norfolk mall to visit with friends Carly and Silas. The kids played for a bit in the play area and then we just did some light shopping...Lorelei ate her weight in snacks this morning. After a full breakfast she then ate TWO nutrigrain bars and a mini bagel...the last couple days her teenage boy eating habits have slowed down a bit thankfully...
Wednesday - Playgroup, BACK to MacArthur mall for Barnes and Noble story time (where Lorelei actually was much quieter than most of the kids there! Shocker for me and makes me feel better about taking her back!) We also hit the play area again and enjoyed some lunch with a couple of other moms.
Thursday - Dr. Appointment, which is enough for any day!
Friday - Melissa, Chase and Kira came over and brought me a birthday Starbucks treat! The kids enjoyed playing with literally every toy in the house and Lorelei did a great job sharing. Their visit was much needed as before they got there Lorelei was pulling me towards the door and pointing at the drawer with the keys!
Saturday - Trip to the library where we met the Bonfiglios (Melissa's husband owns a 7-Eleven so has to work Saturdays) while Brad did a little work around the house, the rest of the day was just playing here at home. Oh and I cannot forget to mention the Nebraska game that night!
Sunday - The short version is that church was a disaster with Lorelei stomping (wooden pews and stomping are a loud combination) despite several harsh reprimands and the nursery going as usual, followed by yet another short nap and then topping the evening off with biting. Starting to feel like we will be one of those families on Super Nanny! Please keep us in your prayers as it is becoming more and more challenging to have patience with all of this. We always love our girl though, and obviously there are many more joys that have been shared in many other blog entries!

It has started to feel like winter a bit here, but we were hoping the fresh air might help Lorelei feel like sleeping, so Brad got her out for a little jaunt this afternoon before it got dark. Don't they look cute all bundled up? :)

She also said the word "bow" perfectly several times tonight! (In reference to her actual bow of course) So excited that she is talking more and more each day.

Low: Sunday

Highs: my cinnamon gummies and entire package from my sister, brownies, Starbucks...gee think I'm a comfort food person?, making plans for the Sr Stahls visit, many wonderful birthday phone calls and messages
