Makin 1 Month Old

We are still in shock to realize our little guy is already one month old! It seems like he can't be but my sore brain right now is definitely reminding me of my lack of sleep for a month! :)

So far Makin is a pretty well agreeable baby, but I keep saying "but he is still a newborn"...its just so hard to tell right now what we have coming up with his personality. His so called "schedule" right now is basically that he is awake for something close to 3-4 hours in the morning, then crashes from staying up so long until about 4 pm and then wakes up for another few hours before crashing for the night. We are also still inconsistent with how well he sleeps in the middle of the night, some nights being really rough where he wants to stay awake for two hours at two A.M. and other nights where he just goes right back to sleep after eating. Trying to remind myself its only temporary! :)

One thing this picture reminded me of is this face he tends to make. He definitely has some kind of pondering serious side as you can see in the photo. :)



He is still on his 3 oz every 2-3 hours but we decided at the start of the week to try switching to soy formula (after calling the pediatrician) and we think it seems to be helping with the spit up and gassiness thank goodness!

We also noticed he has recently started showing a receding hairline...still have Dads hair or will he loose it and come back a blond? Guess only time will tell. I'm rooting for Brad's hair but of course having two blonds will be wonderful too. :)

Having such a tiny baby is still such a blessing. You can't beat the feeling of that tiny hand curling up around your finger. We are trying to cherish it as much as we can and know he will do an amazing job in the tough weeks coming up. We love you little guy!
