Seasme Street Live

On Friday night I took Lorelei to Sesame Street Live and we both had a really good time. On the drive there, she kept saying “cite” (excited) after I had asked her if she was excited. When we were trying to find our seats, Lorelei was getting very excited about hearing Big Bird announcing over the PA system how long we had until the show was going to start. She could hardly sit still in her seat she was so excited. Once things did get started, she was consistently yelling “DAD DAD DAD” and looking back at me and pointing to the characters on the stage for me to see what is going on. It ended up that our seats were in the 3rd row, so we had a great view of everything that was going on up on the stage!

Lorelei’s level of excitement was about at this same level until we hit a 15 minute intermission, in which they were were selling Elmo balloons up in front of the stage. Of course Lorelei wanted one, but they were insanely overpriced! That of course resulted in a bit of a meltdown, but there were so many little kids there crying that it wasn’t too noticeable. Then the second half of the show continued, and Lorelei still was quite excited to watch. On the way home, it took us about 45 minutes to get out of the parking garage, and she was so tired that it made for a long haul back home until she finally fell asleep when we hit the interstate. All in all, it was a great trip, and she had so much fun. It was truly a priceless night of memories.
