Pumpkin Patch

We had planned on a trip to see Curious George at the library on Friday morning, but when Lorelei was totally uninterested in that idea, we opted for a trip to the pumpkin patch instead. Of course she LOVED getting outside and the weather was perfect. It was WONDERFUL having Brad home on a week day so it was not that crowded. Yay for three day weekends!

Lorelei enjoyed feeding the goats and a pony ride. She also loved seeing the other farm animals, pretending to drive her own tractor and taking a walk up a huge mountain of hay.

Part of our "package" with the tickets included a hayride, which only left the farm area every hour and we were told it would leave at noon. We saw a group take off at about 10 till twelve and were hoping that was not the ride we were supposed to be on...it was. When they arrived back from their 10 minute drive Brad made sure to stick up for us and the other 4 families who were waiting there ON TIME and made the tractor driver royally ticked asking to take us around since she left early. She begrudgingly made another round with us, which was GREAT since Lorelei would not have lasted until the 1 o'clock ride. She had a lot of fun driving around the farm seeing the horses from the hay. She also enjoyed a little time with a scarecrow just before we left.

We topped off our visit with a trip to the "patch" (a bunch of little pumpkins thrown onto a grassy area) and Lorelei enjoyed seeing the many different sizes of pumpkins. She was not too keen on a picture with Makin so this was the best we could get! He was a trooper through the entire visit and slept in the Bjorn for me the whole time!

We only ended up buying a tiny 79 cent pumpkin so will still have to make a trip somewhere for our pumpkins this year. :)
